Perhaps not a very appropriate song but the last recording we have of Rob singing is with Neil on our last CD together. The song is called Promises and Rob joins in after the first verse.

Promises

(Best heard using QuickTime in your browser but any mp3 player will be able to play it.)

The first four photographs here have been provided by Robin's family.

  Marilyn and Robin.

This photograph was taken in the garden at the lovely 2, High View, Wallsend.

  Robin and Marilyn.

This was our one and only 'Family Christmas' at 2 High View. We've argued about the date because Alan & Marilyn married in 1977 which is a clue and this was a few years after that but anyway late 1970's/early 1980's!

Back left to right: Jenny, Alan, Joe, Marilyn, Emma, Rob, Grt Uncle Harry. Front: Sally, Lyan.

  Rob Jackson in the Lakes
This photograph was taken during one of two trips to the Lakes at Whitsun where Rob (and Sally) introduced Beryl and I to the district he cared for so much. We stayed at the Keswick Station Hotel for a bargain price of £120, per couple, full board for a week. This is my favourite image of Rob, sporting one of his best wry faces, pipe in hand and about to speak - while scanning the scenery of his beloved Lakeland just to check that everything was in good order . . .   Very proud of his camera, and his prowess with it - in Rome, 2006. Alan Metters

Probably my last picture of him, with Mel and Pip, on a chilly day at Southwold in March 2011. Alan Metters
